In both onshore and offshore wind energy projects, we have an excellent project pipeline and an extensive track record. We have over 2,500 MW of wind projects in development. In 2009, Eneco acquired the Evelop wind projects. Since then, the Evelop and Eneco New Energy Wind teams work closely together. One of the successful results of this co-operation is the fact that we were awarded the development of a large wind farm of approximately 900 MW west of the isle of Wight (United Kingdom). We developed and constructed the Prinses Amaliawindpark in the Netherlands and we developed the Belwind project in Belgium - two unique offshore wind projects in the North Sea. In addition, Evelop has developed Railwind®, a new concept of wind turbines above railway infrastructure. We also have a lot of experience with the development and realization of onshore wind projects in complex environments, such as the Afrikahaven project in the Netherlands. We managed to build this wind farm without disturbing the large-scale industrial activities in this harbour area. We are involved continuously from a project's early planning stage to the operational phase, including power delivery. We tailor each project to the specific demands of the location and of our partners. After project completion, Evelop remains involved as the operator and owner or co-owner. In developing sustainable energy projects, Eneco wind is responsible for the technical development and obtaining permits as well as for hiring the contractors. We advise in selecting and developing the most effective financial and tax structure. As a contractor we supervise and coordinate the construction and completion. After a project has been completed, we are responsible for sustainable energy production and management of the wind turbines. The energy is delivered directly to the customers via our mother company Eneco or other utility companies. |
